However, research shows that what actually happens when people deprive themselves of carbohydrates, is that the body actually burns glycogen which has a high water content. The initial weight loss achieved from these low carb diet programs is actually due to the loss of water content rather than fat.

Eating carbohydrates is important in order to lose weight, however, it is advisable that you do not eat them in excess. So, what is the answer?
A balanced diet that includes the right type of carbohydrates, along with proteins, fat, grains, fiber, and etc. is the answer. If you are looking to lose weight, your diet is 80% of the battle. Consider finding a diet program that will work for you without depriving yourself of the necessary ingredients that make your body’s metabolism function properly. Unfortunately, there is no magic diet system for instant weight loss.
