Atkins Diet Recipes: Low Carb Buffalo Crack Slaw (IF)

In partnership with FaveHealthyRecipes, I wanted to finally make this classic “Induction Friendly” low carb recipe for my Youtube videos. Just making the standard recipe was not going to be good enough plus I like a little more heat in mine. I combine two favorite foods together and rethink the classic. This is very similar to what I get at Mongolian grills too.

For even more healthy entree recipes, FaveHealthyRecipes has an ever expanding section of low carb entree recipes. ( )

Kent I love all your recipes, you are such a great cook! Thank you so much for all your videos, it has really helped my husband and I to stay on track. He has lost 50lbs so far and myself 36lbs since Sept. Thanks again!

Hi Kent, I am going to be making this in the next day or so.. It looks so so good.  My son started to lowcarb with me so I won't be making it very spicy since he doesn't like things too hot.  I may also use steakumm's meat instead of ground beef to give it a more oriental feel.. Glad to see you have some recipes in the Lowcarbing amoung friends cookbook.. I have recipes in 2 of the books myself.  🙂  Everyone should get them!!  cheri :)

Watching your videos, even listening to several while at work on my headphones, reignited my desire to get back on Atkins. Your success is worthy of consideration! Congratulations! I made the buffalo crack slaw tonight….using both green and red cabbage. It was a hit with my entire family!

Thanks for watching! Yeah, sodium is one thing I am not shy in using. I need a bit of sodium in my diet to replace my electrolytes, so if you are sensitive to it, you will want to adjust some of the ingredients.

I'm definitely going to try this but without the soy sauce, salt or Splenda. I'm also going to use fresh onions. It looks delicious! I also joined your Facebook page and look forward to checking out more of your recipes.

I am not convinced on the danger of Splenda, but that said the choice of sweetener is one of personal choice. I would however caution you with Agave syrup though if one is sensitive to sugars and blood glucose changes. Agave syrup is essentially fructose syrup similar to HFCS. All the dangers of HFCS are found in it.

Again my videos are targeting people sensitive to sugars (simple like fructose or sucrose) and are avoiding it. Putting real sugar in it obviously is not in the plan.

Me too. That's hilarious. I LOVE your recipes Ken. Thank you so much for expanding all of our low carbing options. Since you're doing the YouTube video's you should also consider expanding to podcasts. That way I can cook with you on my iPad in the kitchen! Just a thought…
