Atkins Diet Recipes: Low Carb “Big Mac” Pie (IF)

In partnership with FaveHealthyRecipes, Linda Genaw of Linda’s Low Carb Recipe site (http://genaw.com/lowcarb/) fame has a very popular recipe called White Castle Pie. That recipe was good, but not having a White Castle in Iowa I had to assume the flavor was true. I wanted to make the recipe my own and replace a former favorite of mine, the Big Mac. I also got to use one of my favorite salad dressings as well — my low carb conversion thousand island dressing. I think you’ll love this one just as much as the original.

Hi there, have you considered this kind of diet plan known as the Fenoboci Diet Plan? My cousin says it helps people lost a lot of weight. Is that possible? I also noticed a lot of good review relating to this diet plan. Thoughts?

It's more of a casserole rather than a meatloaf, which typically don't feature sour cream and cheese, but you can call it as you wish. Veggies are part of Atkins, and while this one only features onions and pickles (cucumbers) since that is only what a Big Mac features, you could adjust to your own tastes.

"Healthy balance" — according to whom?

What is the danger of FAT that you are avoiding? It can't be cholesterol, arterial damage, or heart disease because all of those are improved on a high fat ketogenic diet.

With the minced meat, I believe there is a language difference. Minced meat to Americans is a processed meat product in a can. We call what you call minced meat "ground meat."

For reduced fat cheese, here is in the ingredients — "Yeast [Ingredient Not in Regular Cheddar Cheese], Cheese Culture, Artificial Color, Natural Flavor [Ingredient Not in Regular Cheddar Cheese" Companies have to add color and flavor to fix the product and taste they removed.

So instead of actually using real food, you would rather used processed meat and chemical laden low fat cheese. Proper diet food is anything that enables you to lose weight healthy, and 211 pounds and 9 years of excellent annual blood work proves food like this and a high fat ketogenic diet work.

Yep, this is a great one to prepare for the week, and then reheat as necessary. I have personally kept it longer than a week, but I don't see why if frozen it couldn't be. Thanks!
